Privacy policy

1. Who we are

2. What we collect

Order information: name, email, shipping and billing address, phone number, items ordered, order value.
Payment information: processed by our payment providers. We receive a confirmation and the last four digits of the card; we never see or store the full number.
Account information if you create one: email and password (stored hashed), order history, saved addresses.
Device and usage data: IP address, browser, device type, pages viewed, referring site, and cookie identifiers.
Communications: the emails you send us and our replies.
Marketing preferences if you subscribe to our list.

3. Why we use it

To take payment, ship your order and handle returns.
To send transactional emails: confirmation, dispatch, tracking, refund.
To answer your support emails.
To detect and prevent fraud and abuse.
To measure how the site performs and improve it.
To send marketing emails, only if you opted in. Every one has an unsubscribe link.
To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share what is needed with:

Shopify, which hosts this store and processes orders.
Payment providers to take and secure payment.
Carriers and fulfillment partners to deliver your parcel.
Email and support tools to send transactional and marketing email.
Analytics and advertising platforms — for example Google, Meta and TikTok — which may receive event data through cookies and pixels. Under some state laws this counts as "sharing" or "targeted advertising"; see section 7 on how to opt out.
Authorities, where we are legally required to.

5. Cookies

We use cookies that are strictly necessary (cart, checkout, security), plus analytics and advertising cookies. You can refuse or delete non-essential cookies through our cookie banner where shown, or in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies will break checkout.

6. How long we keep it

Order and invoice records are kept as long as tax and accounting law requires, typically seven years. Support emails are kept up to three years. Marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is kept for the retention period set in each platform.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live — including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah and other states with privacy laws — you may have the right to:

Know what personal information we hold about you and get a copy.
Correct information that is wrong.
Delete your personal information, subject to our legal retention duties.
Opt out of targeted advertising and of the sale or sharing of your personal information.
Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

To exercise any of them, email help+pufferland@thesupport.care from the address used on your order. We respond within 45 days. You can appeal a decision by replying to our answer.

8. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as an opt-out of sale and sharing where required by law.

9. Children

This store is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us data, email us and we will delete it.

10. Security

The site runs over HTTPS and payment data is handled by PCI-compliant providers. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data.

11. International transfers

Our service providers may process data outside your state or country, including in the United States and the European Union, with appropriate safeguards in place.

12. Changes

We update this policy when our practices change. The date at the top shows the current version.
